On behalf of CRCA and the Board of Directors, I would like to wish all of our members, provincial affiliates, and everyone involved in the roofing and construction industry a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I hope that each of you will relax and spend some quality time with your families and friends.

2015 has not only been a very good year for the roofing industry but for CRCA as well. In 2015, we crafted and approved a new 5 year strategic plan for the association. Hand in hand with our new strategic plan was the creation of a new mission and vision for CRCA. These are:

Vision statement: The Canadian roofing industry is respected and successful, with the highest professional and technical standards.

Mission statement: CRCA leads the Canadian roofing industry, advancing the success of roofing contractors through technical expertise, standards of practice, and collaboration with industry partners.

The main objective of the new strategic plan is to guide CRCA in its ability to best serve its membership in a rapidly changing industry and economic environment over the next five-year period.

With 2016 right around the corner, the CRCA Board and staff are getting ready to implement their operational plan and tactics to bring the strategies within the strategic plan to fruition.

In 2015 we also hit a key milestone with one of our affinity partners. Through Enterprise Fleet Management 125 new vehicles have been delivered or ordered by CRCA members. It is interesting to note that based on an average rebate of $8,000 per vehicle – CRCA members have saved over $1,000,000 on vehicle acquisition costs. Through this program, CRCA members qualify for exclusive lease/purchase rebates of up to $12,500 on select GMC models.

Just a reminder that CRCA’s 2016 Conference and AGM takes place in Halifax, Nova Scotia from May 28 to 30, 2016. We hope to see many of you there.

Happy Holidays to all and the very best for 2016!
