CRCA member reaches recycling milestone

Roofing contractors and home owners across the U.S. have recycled one million tons of shingles through a roofing shingle recycling program developed by Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt, LLC. The company’s shingle products, including Duration, Oakridge, Supreme, Berkshire, Woodmoor and Woodcrest shingles, all have 100 per cent capability of being recycled into road paving.

Harper government freezes EI premium rates

Finance Minister Jim Flaherty revealed that the federal government is putting the brakes on a planned increase in Employment Insurance (EI) premiums and freezing current rates for a three-year period.
